Meet Jackie from Imperial CFS

My name is Jackie Hsu and I'm the Accounting Manager at Imperial CFS. We're a bonded warehouse that handles LCL and other customs bonded cargo in the Los Angeles and Long Beach area.

In my role, I oversee accounting as well as broader operational  functions like IT and office management. And because we're a pretty lean team, I'm often involved in cross-functional projects, including improving our customer-facing systems and website.

What does Hireframe do for you?

We engaged Hireframe to support us with our UI/UX design for our website. And their role was to help us rethink the user experience and improve navigation and create a more modern, intuitive interface for our customers. They worked really closely with myself and our internal IT team to understand our workflow and our customers' needs, and then helped us translate 

that into functional designs.

What was work like before Hireframe?

Before Hireframe, this type of work was handled internally on an ad hoc basis. And that made it really difficult for us to achieve a cohesive and professional user experience. The team has appreciated having a dedicated design resource who could bring structure and expertise to an area that we didn't previously have in-house and allowed them to focus on other items that were more of their expertise.

What was the hiring process like?

The hiring process with Hireframe was smooth and efficient. They were able to quickly understand what we were looking for and match us with someone who had the right skill set for a fairly specific project. I'd say within two weeks we were given really strong candidates that were along the alleyway of what we were looking for, and that really made it very seamless for us.

How is Hireframe different from other outsourcing companies?

What's most important to us in a staffing partner is flexibility and quality of talent and ease of communication. Hireframe checked all those boxes for us. They provided strong candidates. They were responsive throughout the process and it made it easy to get started quickly without a long-term commitment.

As we continue to grow and take on new projects, I can definitely see us working with Hireframe again, not only for similarly-based, project-based needs, but for other roles as well. And having gone through this process already and seeing how streamlined it is has really opened my eyes to a lot of other opportunities where we could utilize Hireframe.
