We are seeking a skilled Audio Podcast Editor to join our team and contribute to the creation of high-quality podcast content. As an Audio Podcast Editor, you will be responsible for editing, mixing, and enhancing audio recordings to produce engaging and professional podcasts. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of audio editing software, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for storytelling through sound.

This role will be working from home permanently and during U.S. business hours.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Audio producers will focus on the production and audio quality aspects of their assigned shows 
  • Manage content and ensure episodes are produced in a timely manner, oversee scheduling and content quality 
  • Communicate with the head of programming and head of production on a daily/weekly basis
  • Quality control audio files that are published on our Network.
  • Keep show content and assets organized and up to date such as show descriptions, artwork and programming schedules.
  • Producers will assist in planning and producing the audio file of a variety of weekly podcasts.
  • Work with other show producers and talent to build programming schedules, rundowns and content plans for their prospective shows. 
  • Attend show recordings and take notes for break times and audio fixes that will be made in post-production
  • Manage & Edit daily/post-show audio & podcast content.
  • Quality control records to make sure all microphones are correctly set up and all audio files being published are the highest quality possible. 
  • Write show titles, descriptions and timestamps for every episode. 
  • Communicate with internal and external partners about the show programming schedule (weekly, seasonally, etc)
  • Book/organize guest interviews for recordings in-Studio or on Zoom.
  • Uses various audio software and technologies such as soundboards and editing/production software.
  • Strong podcast management skills with a focus on maintaining organized timelines, and ensuring all aspects of podcast episodes stay on track.
Requirements
  • Proficiency with audio editing software and industry-standard techniques
  • Knowledge of podcasting trends, including formatting and episode structure
  • Previous experience with podcast hosting platforms and managing RSS feeds
  • Sports and show specific knowledge to help quality control content 
  • Ability to manage content for different audiences and platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to ever-changing news cycles
  • Eager to learn, overcome obstacles and pitch ideas to senior colleagues
  • Highly organized and able to, set priorities and multi-task
  • A deep understanding of us and show brand
